What it is
PurgeRite, a Houston-based provider of mechanical flushing, purging and filtration for liquid-cooling systems. Vertiv bought it for $1,138.3 million net of cash acquired, with up to $250.0 million more payable on performance metrics.
Why it matters to the stock. Liquid cooling needs specialized fluid service after installation. Owning that capacity lets Vertiv sell the full liquid-cooling lifecycle rather than only hardware.
