Caterpillar completes Skycatch acquisition to extend mine-site data tools

Caterpillar has acquired Skycatch, a provider of spatial data capture and AI analysis for mining. Skycatch creates near-real-time digital twins of mine sites, and Caterpillar plans to feed that data into its RPM and MineStar planning and fleet systems. The deal follows the earlier RPMGlobal acquisition. The release gives no purchase price or other financial terms.
