Chevron licenses its shale surfactant technology to ZL Chemicals

Chevron Technical Center signed a licensing agreement that lets ZL Chemicals commercialize Chevron's chemical surfactant technology for improving recovery from shale and tight oil reservoirs. ZL will market it under the Vantis product line and offer field services, while Chevron keeps developing next-generation surfactants for its own operations. Financial terms were not disclosed.
