UK MHRA approves Foundayo (orforglipron) for weight management and type 2 diabetes

The UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency authorised Lilly's oral GLP-1 Foundayo for weight management and for type 2 diabetes on August 10, 2026. The UK becomes the first European country to approve the once-daily pill, which is a first step outside the US for the product. Pricing and reimbursement in the UK are still to be settled.
