ExxonMobil flags Middle East hit: Q1 output down about 6% from Q4

In an April 8 SEC filing, ExxonMobil said Middle East disruptions would lower its global oil-equivalent production by about 6% in the first quarter compared with the fourth quarter of 2025. Attacks affected two LNG trains in Qatar in which it holds interests, and those assets were about 3% of its 2025 upstream production. The company also expected Energy Products throughput to fall about 2%, and said it could not yet say when the Qatar trains would return to normal.

  • Global oil-equivalent production down about 6% in Q1 2026 versus Q4 2025
  • Qatar: two LNG trains affected, about 3% of 2025 Upstream production
  • UAE assets with production disruptions beginning in March
  • Energy Products throughput down about 2% on reduced crude availability in Asia Pacific
  • No return date for the Qatar trains until an on-site evaluation is complete
