Gilead widens royalty-free lenacapavir licences to cover once-yearly HIV prevention
Gilead expanded six existing royalty-free voluntary licences for lenacapavir to cover the investigational once-yearly injection for HIV prevention, across 120 high-incidence countries, mostly low- and lower-middle-income. The licensees are Dr. Reddy's, Emcure, Eva Pharma, Ferozsons, Hetero and Mylan, a Viatris subsidiary. The step is about manufacturing, technology transfer and supply planning before any approval, so it is an access and readiness move rather than a revenue event.
