Marvell acquires Swiss photonics developer Polariton Technologies

Marvell said it acquired Polariton Technologies, a Swiss photonics developer, to add plasmonics-based modulation and a silicon photonics engineering team. The company says the technology will help it scale optical performance to 3.2T and beyond. Financial terms were not disclosed.
