Palo Alto Networks to acquire AI gateway company Portkey

On April 30, 2026 Palo Alto Networks announced plans to acquire Portkey, an AI gateway provider that inspects and routes AI traffic for autonomous agents. Once closed, Portkey is to serve as the AI Gateway for Prisma AIRS. The deal was expected to close in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, and no price was disclosed.
