Uber to buy ezCater for $2.3 billion in cash to expand into catering

Uber agreed to acquire ezCater, a US corporate catering platform, for $2.3 billion in cash, subject to regulatory approval and expected to close in the coming months. ezCater generated more than $2.5 billion of Gross Bookings over the past twelve months, which gives Uber a catering business to add to Uber Eats. The deal is the second large acquisition Uber has announced in 2026, after the Delivery Hero offer in July.
