UnitedHealth publishes independent review findings: 23 recommendations, all implemented

UnitedHealth released an update to its Independent Review Program covering risk assessment, care services management, prescription drug manufacturer discount practices and HouseCalls diagnosis coding. Two sets of third-party assessors called the policies and practices robust and, in many respects, industry leading, and made 23 recommendations. The company says all 23 have been implemented, which matters for the regulatory scrutiny of its Medicare Advantage coding.
