Visa study: stablecoin willingness rises from 36% to 56% with bank-style protections

A Visa study titled Money Travels 2026 found that 36% of U.S. adults would consider using stablecoins, rising to 45% if offered through an existing financial provider and to 56% in a hypothetical product with bank-level fraud protection and deposit insurance. The survey was run by Morning Consult in early 2026 with 2,192 adults. Visa says 56% of respondents had never heard of stablecoins, so these are stated intentions rather than observed adoption.
