Datadog acquires Adaptive ML, a reinforcement learning operations startup, for its AI research team

Datadog said it acquired Adaptive ML, which builds a platform for fine-tuning open models with reinforcement learning and scoring them against business results. The startup joins Datadog AI Research, and Datadog says the aim is to move from agents that investigate and alert toward systems that learn and act. Datadog did not disclose the price, so the deal's size for shareholders is not known.
