IonQ launches Superion 256, a 256-qubit sixth-generation system open for orders
IonQ launched its Superion product line with the Superion 256, a 256-qubit sixth-generation trapped-ion computer that uses on-chip electronic qubit control instead of lasers. The chip was designed and made with SkyWater. Orders are open now, with customer deliveries planned for 2027, and IonQ said a 10,000-qubit-class generation is in development in parallel.
