Meta launches Muse, a personal AI agent that works on its own cloud computer
Meta launched Muse in the US on iOS, Android and the web, and inside WhatsApp, as an agent that completes multi-step tasks in a cloud environment and keeps working after the app is closed. A separate Sentinel agent must approve anything that reaches the internet, and sensitive actions need the user's permission. Access is free for most uses with paid subscriptions for heavier use, and AI glasses support is promised soon.
- US rollout on iOS, Android, muse.ai and WhatsApp; free for most uses, with subscription plans
- Runs on a dedicated virtual machine; can fill forms and navigate websites
- Sentinel agent approves anything that reaches the internet
- AI glasses support 'coming soon'; the article gives no user counts or prices
