TSMC sets another record at NT$2,585 on Oct 6 as Taiwan shares near 50,000

TSMC's Taipei shares closed at a new record of NT$2,585 on October 6, up 0.39%, after its ADRs rose 2.75% in the prior US session. The stock contributed about 80 points to the Taiex, which finished up 0.22% at 49,822.55 but still below 50,000. Foreign investors were net sellers of NT$6.66 billion on the main board that day.
