Mainframe and security software (CA, Symantec, Carbon Black)
Symantec CBX, a cloud-based XDR platform that combines Symantec and Carbon Black capabilities, was unveiled March 23, 2026. Broadcom reports this software inside the Infrastructure Software segment and does not give a separate revenue figure.
What it is
Enterprise software outside VMware: mainframe workload-automation and management products sold under the CA brand, and cybersecurity products from Symantec and Carbon Black, sold through Broadcom's partner-led Catalyst go-to-market. The latest 10-Q says the segment includes private cloud, mainframe software, cybersecurity and enterprise software.
Why it matters to the stock. These products sit in the same reporting segment as VMware, so their performance is not visible on its own. They are a second source of recurring software revenue alongside VCF.
