What it is
Chevron's lower-carbon businesses: carbon capture and storage (CCS is included in the Upstream segment scope in the FY2025 10-K), renewable fuels, hydrogen, power and carbon offsets, run by the New Energies unit.
Why it matters to the stock. This is where Chevron's energy-transition bets sit. Its results are not broken out in the segment reporting, so traders track it through project announcements and leadership changes.
