CrowdStrike sells a cloud-delivered cybersecurity platform built around its Falcon agent and a growing set of modules for endpoint, cloud, identity, IT operations and security analytics. Customers pay subscriptions for the modules they use, and the company tracks growth through annual recurring revenue (ARR). Its newest growth areas are the Falcon Flex licensing model, the Next-Gen SIEM product, AI security agents and identity and browser security acquired in early 2026.

How it makes money

CrowdStrike earns about 95% of revenue from subscriptions, billed for the Falcon modules each customer runs, and the rest from professional services such as incident response and deployment. Falcon Flex lets customers draw down a prepaid pool of spending across modules, which has pulled more modules into existing accounts and lifted ARR per customer. Gross margin on subscriptions is about 78% on a GAAP basis, and the company's free cash flow was $1.24 billion in fiscal 2026.
