The numbers
What it is
MARA used to host other companies' mining machines in its data centers and earn fees. Those agreements have been ended, and most remaining third-party hosting contracts expire from Q3 2027 through Q1 2028.
Why it matters to the stock. Hosting revenue is gone, so the business now depends on owned mining and the power projects. The contract expiries mark when MARA must replace this capacity with its own sites.
