TSMC joins Applied's EPIC Center as a founding partner

TSMC joined Applied Materials' EPIC Center in Silicon Valley as a founding partner, and the two companies will co-develop materials, equipment and process technologies for leading-edge logic. The work covers power, performance and area on advanced nodes, new materials for 3D transistor and interconnect structures, and process integration for vertically stacked chips. TSMC also gets earlier access to Applied's R&D portfolio and next-generation tools.
