Marvell adds Alaska E 3.2T retimer and second-generation Alaska A 1.6T AEC DSP, both sampling

Marvell expanded its AI scale-up connectivity line with the Alaska E 3.2T protocol-aware retimer and a second-generation Alaska A 1.6T active electrical cable DSP, both now sampling to customers. The 1.6T AEC is built on 3nm and supports reaches over six meters, double the first generation. The launch extends the connectivity line that carries data between AI accelerators, switches and optics.

• Alaska E 3.2T: 16 lanes of 224G PAM4, 3.2 Tbps aggregate, over 45 dB insertion-loss compensation
• Alaska E supports Ethernet, UALink and ESUN
• Alaska A 1.6T: 3nm AEC DSP, 12.8W, reaches over six meters
• Both products sampling to customers now
