Merck splits Human Health into Oncology and Specialty units and names new commercial leaders

Merck reorganized its Human Health business into an Oncology unit and a Specialty, Pharma and Infectious Diseases unit, and created a Strategic Access, Policy and Communications group. Both report to Chairman and CEO Robert Davis, and the company says the structure supports launches and a late-stage pipeline of roughly 80 Phase 3 studies.
