Jay Hoag becomes Netflix board chair; lead independent director role ends

At its June 4, 2026 annual meeting Netflix shareholders re-elected all 12 directors, including co-CEOs Greg Peters and Ted Sarandos. The board had appointed independent director Jay Hoag as chairman effective at the meeting, and it said a separate lead independent director is no longer needed. Hoag had been lead independent director since 2012.
