Shopify and Meta agree that Muse can check out on Shopify stores with Shop Pay

Shopify and Meta agreed on September 21, 2026 to let Meta's Muse AI assistant complete purchases on Shopify stores through Shop Pay. Muse had launched on September 8 with Shop Pay listed as coming soon, so the deal fills in the payment option. Shares rose 7.33% to $137.92 on September 21 and 7.12% to $147.74 on September 22, and Amazon separately blocked Muse from its site.
