Shopify SimGym AI shopper testing moves to research preview for eligible merchants

On March 11, 2026 Shopify made SimGym available in AI research preview to all eligible merchants. SimGym uses AI shoppers to simulate buyer behavior on live or draft storefronts and report feedback. It is an early product, so its effect on conversion or revenue is not yet measured.
