Tesla starts Robotaxi pilots in Orlando and Tampa, a day before Q2 earnings

Tesla brought unsupervised Model Y robotaxis to Orlando and Tampa on July 21, 2026, one day before its Q2 earnings call. It did not say how many vehicles are in each city, and TechCrunch noted the operating areas look small. Together with Austin, Dallas, Houston and Miami, the new cities make six metros with unsupervised rides by this count.
