Tesla China May retail rises 22.5% to 47,281 units after April slump

CPCA data released June 8, 2026 showed Tesla sold 47,281 vehicles domestically in China in May, up 22.5% year on year and about 82% from April's 25,956 units. Year-to-date retail through May was still 7.9% below 2025. Wholesale including exports was 85,982, the highest monthly total of 2026 so far.
