ASML's extreme ultraviolet scanners are the only tools that print the finest features on the most advanced chips. Demand comes from leading-edge logic makers and DRAM producers building AI accelerators and high-bandwidth memory. Year-end 2025 company backlog was €38.8 billion.
Why it matters to the stock. EUV is the highest-priced and highest-margin part of the lithography business, and no rival sells a substitute. Quarterly EUV orders are the best early signal for ASML's sales a year or more out.
