What it is
The multiyear, non-exclusive partnership moves Synopsys' chip design, physical verification and simulation software onto NVIDIA GPUs and CUDA libraries. It also includes Omniverse digital twins and cloud access to GPU-accelerated engineering tools.
Why it matters to the stock. The partnership ties Synopsys to the largest AI chip vendor and could speed up software that is compute-heavy. NVIDIA is now also a shareholder, which makes the partnership a market signal as well as a technical one.
