What it is

Ansys adds engineering simulation software for physics-based analysis of products such as aircraft, vehicles, electronics and semiconductors. Synopsys is combining it with its chip design tools so customers can simulate systems and silicon together.

Why it matters to the stock. Ansys is the main reason reported revenue jumped in fiscal 2025 and 2026, so reported growth rates now reflect both organic demand and the acquisition.
