Synopsys launches Ansys 2026 R1, first major release since the acquisition

Synopsys launched Ansys 2026 R1, the first major Ansys product release since the company closed its acquisition of Ansys. The release adds generative and agentic AI features, including Mesh Agent for meshing failures, GeomAI for concept design and the Discovery Validation Agent. It also adds joint workflows linking Ansys tools with Synopsys products such as VC Functional Safety Manager and QuantumATK.
