GlobalFoundries completes purchase of Synopsys ARC processor IP business

GlobalFoundries completed its acquisition of Synopsys' ARC Processor IP Solutions business. The ARC portfolio is being combined with GlobalFoundries' MIPS RISC-V IP into one processor and AI-core suite, and MIPS is now part of GlobalFoundries. Synopsys keeps its interface and foundation IP portfolio.
