Marvell Technology is a fabless semiconductor company that designs data infrastructure chips for cloud data centers, carrier networks and enterprise networking. Its fastest-growing business is custom silicon for hyperscale customers, alongside Ethernet and optical connectivity products that link AI accelerators and servers. Revenue in fiscal 2026 reached $8.19 billion, up 42%.

How it makes money

Marvell sells semiconductors to cloud operators, networking equipment makers and carriers. Its core products are custom ASICs (custom AI and cloud chips designed with each customer), electro-optics and retimer chips that move data between AI systems, Ethernet switching and storage controllers, and CXL memory expanders. It does not own fabs: manufacturing is outsourced to foundries, with packaging and test done by subcontractors. A single distributor accounted for 37% of fiscal 2026 net revenue, and one direct customer for 14%.
